Resulting from collaborative research conducted by the UNFPA Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office and the UNICEF Europe and Central Asia Regional Office, this study examines the costs of not having gender-responsive family policies in place and highlights the widespread benefits of such policies. By establishing an evidence base and identifying best practices, the report also proposes a comprehensive framework for developing gender-responsive family policies and calls for a collaborative approach between governments and the private sector to invest in more equitable, resilient and prosperous societies.
