The United Nations Population Fund Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (UNFPA EECARO), as approved by its Executive Board and as required by corporate policy, invites expressions of interest for collaboration to assist in the implementation of its Regional Interventions and Action Plan (RIAP) 2018 – 2021.

In 17 programme countries and territories in the region, UNFPA seeks to ensure its transformative global goals – zero unmet need for modern contraception, zero maternal deaths and zero violence against women – are achieved by working on sexual and reproductive health and rights, young people, gender equality, and population data and policies. The Results and Resources Framework sets out targets and interventions in line with UNFPA’s mandate to advance these goals with a core budget of US$14m and aspirational further US$9m to be raised over the next four years.

UNFPA EECARO now seeks to identify potential partner organizations, networks and individual experts to work with us to deliver on this vital and ambitious agenda through regional-level advocacy, knowledge-sharing and technical assistance in priority countries.

UNFPA welcomes institutions, organizations, including community-based organizations, networks and individual experts, including existing Implementing Partners, to participate in this Invitation for Expression of Interest for Collaboration and requests to submit the following information in English by using the template through email clearly marked Partner Expression of Interest for Collaboration” to eecaro.partners@unfpa.org by 22 November 2017.

  • Full legal name, geographical coverage, address and contact details (e-mail; web address) of applying institution
  • Mandate or mission statement of organization
  • Suggested area for collaboration
  • Brief annotation of the related organizational expertise including key results over the last two years on the suggested areas for collaboration
  • Provide link to the annual report and/or any relevant knowledge product (tools, policy briefs etc…)

Upon receipt of the above information, UNFPA will review submissions and create a list of potential partners during the programme cycle (2018 – 2021).

Selected organizations may be invited to submit formal proposals at a later stage.
