This issue of Entre Nous highlights the efforts being made throughout the Region as health systems address the goal of better sexual and reproductive health for all.

It looks at the role of primary health care, essential medicines, and improving the capacity of the workforce, and it provides country examples. It emphasizes an overall health system approach, including the need for mobilizing resources, tackling health determinants, and the other aspects that affect health care itself such as guidelines and motivation, robust strategies and regulatory bodies, and good management of health facilities.
