The purpose of this study, conducted over the course of 2017, is to understand how and why attitudes, norms and practices related to early/child marriage and female genital mutilation/cutting persist in Georgia, and to explore risk and protective factors in order to identify opportunities to tackle these harmful practices.

This report is funded by UNPFA's Georgia Country Office within the frameworks of the UN Joint Programme for Gender Equality supported by the Government of Sweden and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Country Office in Georgia.
