UNFPA will be at COP29 from 11-22 November in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11-22 November. UNFPA, the UN sexual and reproductive health agency, will be hosting several side events open to all participants during the conference. These events will focus on the crucial intersection of climate change, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and demographic change. They will explore how to integrate these considerations into national climate plans, secure climate finance for gender-transformative initiatives, and ensure a just and equitable green transition that empowers women and girls.
