YEREVAN - The UNFPA Armenia Country Office held a stakeholder meeting 18 February 2015 at which the UNFPA Armenia 2010-2015 Country Programme Evaluation Report and the UNFPA Armenia 2016-2020 Country Programme were presented and discussed.

In 2014, the UNFPA Armenia Country Office executed an independent evaluation of the UNFPA 2010-2015 country programme of assistance to Armenia, which aimed at providing UNFPA, national stakeholders, and a wider audience with an independent assessment of the relevance and performance of the UNFPA country programme for Armenia, along with an analysis of how UNFPA has positioned itself to add value in an evolving national development context. The evaluation also aimed to draw key lessons from past and current co-operation and provide a set of clear, forward-looking options leading to strategic and actionable recommendations for the next programme.

Taking into account the recommendations of the UNFPA Country Programme Evaluation, the Armenia Country Office has already drafted the next country programme for 2016-2020, which was presented and discussed during the stakeholder meeting.

There was a lively discussion in a warm atmosphere, with many comments and words of appreciation and wishes for fruitful cooperation in the coming five years.
