Istanbul, 20 May 2024 — UNFPA and amma.pregnancy tracker, a popular application for pregnant women and their families, agreed to extend their successful partnership bringing quality reproductive health information to the app’s users.

The amma.pregnancy tracker provides over 800 educational articles on reproductive health, pregnancy and the baby care period. The heart of the application is its content, meticulously created by an international team of experts, including medical doctors and psychologists.

UNFPA’s Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia has been working with amma since 2022, providing quality content for the app and reaching millions of app users around the world, including in areas with limited access to reproductive health information.

“We’re excited to extend this partnership which allows us to bring information about pregnancy, delivery, STIs, reproductive cancers, infertility, and other topics to people using the app in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region and beyond. In 2024, we will be adding new content to reach more countries and in more languages,” said Dr. Tamar Khomasuridze, UNFPA Regional Sexual and Reproductive Health Adviser.

“Our collaboration with UNFPA is a source of great pride for us. To date, we have produced articles in four languages in partnership with the agency, focusing on key topics and challenges during pregnancy. We are now extending this collaboration to address postnatal recovery challenges and introduce additional languages. The outstanding expertise of our UNFPA colleagues enables us to provide the most relevant and top-quality information to our users across the world,” added Olga Zamyatina, amma pregnancy tracker Chief Content Officer.

UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, with offices in over 150 countries around the world. Our mission is to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. Find out more: www.unfpa.org.
