The youth and adolescent dialogue leading up to the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action will gather young people’s perspectives on key issues of gender equality. Participants will share concerns, aspirations, and proposals for a more equitable society. These insights will inform the Beijing+30 Regional Review Meeting, amplifying youth voices in the ongoing efforts to advance gender equality in the region.
The UNFPA Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia and the UN Women Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia are continuing the series of online consultations with youth and adolescents ahead of the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. The third and final dialogue will focus on gathering youth and adolescents’ views on critical areas of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, addressing their concerns, aspirations, and proposals for a more gender-equal society. Participants will have the opportunity to share their hopes, challenges, and ideas for promoting equal rights and opportunities for everyone.
To ensure that youth voices are central to the discussions, a pre-dialogue survey was launched. The collected insights will be presented and discussed during the event, laying the foundation for meaningful dialogue.
These contributions from young people will directly inform the upcoming Beijing+30 Regional Review Meeting, amplifying young voices in the ongoing efforts to achieve gender equality in the region.
