UNFPA provides support to women and girls fleeing the conflict in Ukraine

  • Since the conflict began in Ukraine, tens of thousands of refugees have arrived in the Republic of  Moldova. Girls and young women—some pregnant, some pushing prams—are assisted by border police, UNFPA, volunteers and NGO staff upon arrival. Photo courtesy of UNFPA Moldova/Eduard Bîzgu.
