The Progamme Specialist, Population and Development (P&D) is located in UNFPA’s Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECARO), reports to the Technical Advisor, Population and Development (PD) and is under the overall supervision of the Deputy Regional Director. The Specialist will contribute to research and evidence-based policy advice in the area of population and development and manage the regional Demographic Resilience programme, which was launched in 2021. More specifically, he/she will identify opportunities and strategies to operationalize the Demographic Resilience programme, develop its portfolio of engagements and its resources. The PD Programme Specialist will work in an integrated manner with the technical, operations, programme and communications staff in the Regional office.
