Regional launch of the Demographic Futures Survey: Findings from Eastern Europe and Central Asia
.

Ahead of World Population Day, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Population Europe invite you to the regional launch of the Demographic Futures Survey: a new international study exploring how young adults across Europe and Central Asia view relationships, parenthood, and their future. Based on responses from people aged 18–39 in 73 countries and territories, the survey provides new insights into the aspirations, expectations, and constraints shaping demographic behaviour in a rapidly changing social and economic context.

Thursday, 9th July 2026, 13:00-14:00, CEST (Zoom)

The online discussion (with English-Russian simultaneous translation) will present the key findings for Eastern Europe and Central Asia and bring together researchers, policymakers and youth representatives to discuss what they mean for demographic resilience and future public policy. The event will combine expert presentations with an interactive discussion on how evidence can support people-centred demographic policies that expand opportunities and choices for younger generations.

Dr. Andreas Edel, Executive Secretary, Population Europe

Speakers:
