UNFPA's Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Istanbul is seeking an Intern for its Human Resources Management sector. This is a six-month position, starting from January 2017.

The Human Resources Intern will report to the HR Strategic Partner in EECARO (Eastern Europe and Central Asia Region) and have a strong collaboration with the EECARO International Operations Manager. His/her duties and responsibilities will include general support of the effective and efficient functioning of the HR Strategic Partner (HRSP) function; supporting the HRSP in driving the alignment of HR Strategic initiatives, as detailed in the HR Strategy, with Regional/Divisional business needs; contributing to the efficiency of the Regional Office Human Resource management; supporting national recruitment processes including drafting job descriptions, provision of input to job classification process, vacancy announcement, screening of candidates, and participation in interview panels; ensuring provision of effective communications support to the office; and supporting knowledge-building and knowledge-sharing.

UNFPA's Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Istanbul is seeking an Intern to support its Gender Equality portfolio programming, with a special focus on the EECA MenEngage platform, created jointly with Promundo and the Global MenEngage Alliance to engage boys and men in promoting gender equality and combating gender-based violence.

The internship will last for a minimum of two months, starting from January 2017, with possible extension up to six months based on the intern's performance. The Administrative Assistant position is located in the Regional Office (RO). Under the direct guidance and supervision of the International Operations Manager (IOM), and as a member of the operations team, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative and financial support to the office, maintaining full confidentiality in all aspects of assignment, maintenance of protocol procedures, information flow and follow up on deadlines and commitments made.
