Ministerial dialogue 1: HARNESSING THE POTENTIAL OF AGEING SOCIETIES
Europe is ageing. By 2050, more than a third of the continent’s population will be over 60 years old. For individuals and societies alike, this brings both challenges and opportunities. To realize the potential of older persons, thoughtful, timely and preventive measures are required so that future generations can embrace the later years of life as a time of development and self-fulfilment, and actively participate and contribute to various spheres of society.
